*** Winter Blues and What to Do... ***If you're like many of Team MRT members, our classic cars are tucked away and these winter months have us dreaming of open roads and car shows. Just because our cars are napping, doesn't mean we should. In fact, January, February and march are prime times for some TLC and restoration projects. Let's highlight a few items to look at to ensure your beauty is in tip-top shape while the snow flies.
**** Attention Hood Stut Lift Kit Owners!!... -- MRT designed and introduced this amazing product in 2006 when it debuted on the MRT 2005 Interceptor Mustang. This product captivated many customers and quickly become a best selling Mustang aftermarket accessory. In fact, many of you may remember the MRT wagon we hauled around Ford Nationals in Carlise, PA, the Mid-America Ford Meet in Tulsa, OK or the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit, MI to sell and INSTALL MRT hood struts. Installation was easy requiring a few hand tools and no vehicle modifications so we could do them on-site. Well, listen up -- the gas cylinders are pressurized and they don't last forever! Now is the perfect time, when you're not at a car show, to check your strut holding power and ensure the strut has staying power.
Replacement gas cylinders are available on the MRT website and sold as a set of 2 - be sure to select the proper vehicle application so Team MRT sends you the proper size struts. MRT expanded our hood strut (or hood lift) kits to include other Ford models, check out our

**** Speaking of MRT product debuts"..... What about those MRT aluminum rear window louvers? Debuted at the 2006 SEMA show on the Mustang with an expanded offering to Chevy Camaro and Corvette. Such a beautiful muscle car accessory that first came along in the mid-60s and introduced on the Mustang Mach 1. Unfortunately, due to production challenges and shipping costs, MRT no longer produces this beautiful piece. However, we do sell full replacement hardware kits in case you want to transfer your louvers to another vehicle, replace the prop rod our just want to check all the attachments to ensure they are secure. **** Fox Body Restoration..... Wow, it's hard to believe that Mustang Fox Bodies were introduced 45 years ago and restoration of this classic car is on the increase. Winter months are a perfect time for a car enthusiast to hunker down and work through the restoration project. MRT has completed a few restorations in the past and in the process found some parts were not available. In fact, we had a difficult time finding rear bumper mounting brackets for the 1979-93 Mustang so we developed our own and you can buy them
here! They are made from durable powder coated steel and directly replace the factory brackets. Also, for these restoration projects, MRT offers

Hood Lift kits which are great finishing touches to any build.
