Big Sound and Big ValueMultiple exhaust systems are available or in development for the many variants of this popular SUV. We're now on Version 3 of our Grand Cherokee exhaust series. The
Cat-Back MRT Performance Exhaust for the Jeep SRT turns up the volume so it sounds like you're driving a muscle car - which is appropriate for the 6.4L Hemi engine under the hood. There's also a Version 3 exhaust for the
5.7L Grand Cherokee Summit and the
supercharged Trackhawk.
Each MRT exhaust system has a straight-through muffler and mandrel-bent tubing for maximum exhaust flow, meaning double-digit horsepower gains. Choose between the base-model polished tips or a stealthy set of Black Ops painted tips. If you'd prefer the quieter Version 1 or Version 2 exhaust, give us a call to ask about availability.
Engineered Automotive Performance For more than 35 years, our team has been dedicated to high-end automotive engineering. Our owner Scott doesn't just slap the MRT name on a system and call it a day - he's hands-on with all the design and testing. Once a Jeep Grand Cherokee exhaust system is assembled, technicians inspect it a minimum of four times. We leave no stone unturned during the process so you can turn over a few of your own on the trails.
Jeep Grand Cherokee Exhaust FAQs
How to change the exhaust manifold on a Jeep Cherokee?
Start by removing the bolts from the collective and setting them aside. Loosen the collector and remove the bolts holding the manifold on, then remove the manifold from the vehicle. Install your new manifold in the same spot the old manifold was in and reattach the bolts. Clean all the other parts and hardware you removed, then reinstall these parts in the reverse order that you removed them. Make sure all bolts are tight, and your Jeep Cherokee exhaust manifold replacement is complete.
How to remove the exhaust tip on a Jeep Grand Cherokee?
On the WK2 generation of Grand Cherokees (as well as other applicable generations), simply loosen the bolt attaching the tips to the exhaust tube, then slide the exhaust tip off. This bolt-on design makes it easy to swap tips or fix tip alignment if needed.
Which Jeep Grand Cherokee has a dual exhaust?
Both the Jeep Grand Cherokee TrailHawk and TrackHawk have dual rear exhausts. The TrailHawk is the flagship off-road model of the Grand Cherokee while the TrackHawk is the flagship on-road model. Because these vehicles have larger engines, the dual exhaust tips provide some needed extra room for exhaust flow. They also produce a sportier overall look which is fitting for a crown jewel vehicle.
How can I get the best, deepest-sounding growl for my Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Changing the stock exhaust system to an aftermarket exhaust will give your Grand Cherokee a deeper muscle car sound. Find a system that increases the tube diameter and changes or deletes the stock muffler to reduce exhaust flow restrictions. A new muffler and/or resonator should increase the volume and mitigate unwanted drone while producing a deeper, fuller sound not. The MRT Version 2 Cat-Back is a great option for this. If you want deep, throaty and loud, the MRT Version 3 Cat-Back is the Grand Cherokee exhaust system for you.
