Customized Fox Body Mustang Hood Struts

MRT hood strut brackets for third-gen Mustangs are made of high-quality steel for the utmost durability and have a powder coat finish to help them resist rust, corrosion or scratching. They come standard with a quality "Black Ops" finish. Custom bracket colors are available for an additional fee with more options than ever. Choose a Carbon Fiber Effect look, Ford Metallic Silver, Ford Vermillion Red or vehicle color matching. If you want a vehicle matching bracket color, select the "Factory Paint Color Code" option and put the paint code you want in the order notes. Please allow 1-2 weeks lead time for custom-painted brackets.

Our 1979-93 Ford Mustang hood struts use gas cylinders calibrated for the weight of factory hoods. If you're using an aftermarket hood, call us and provide the weight of the hood; we can recalibrate the cylinders to account for the difference. You can expect the cylinders to last roughly five years or 60,000 miles, though this may be more or less depending on how often to use them.
